Ranbir Kapoor’s latest outing Sanju, a biopic on Sanjay Dutt, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, has wrote a box office success story in two weeks. The film is all set to cross the Rs 300-crore mark with total earnings standing at Rs 278.58 crore.
There are reports that many important aspects of the actor Sanjay Dutt’s life were not shown in the biopic. The film only focused on his drug addiction, bond with father Sunil Dutt, and best friend Kamlesh, and his connection with the 1993 Mumbai blasts.
The questions were raised by the audience that there has been no mention about Sanjay Dutt’s first two marriages, or his daughter Trishala, from the first marriage, in the film. Now, there are talks that the makers may go for a sequel to Sanju.
According to the reports in DNA, after watching the film, Sanjay Dutt broke down and hugged Rajkumar Hirani and Ranbir Kapoor for amazing performance after which he apparently told Hirani that a sequel to Sanju should also be made since he has many more stories to tell. Shall we expect a sequel to Sanju? Here is the answer for you.
In an interview with ABP news, Rajkumar Hirani said: “Both Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir have been informed that he won’t make a sequel to the film since a person can have only one biopic.”
