During the zenith of her Bollywood career, Rani Mukherjee was one actress who could pull off the quirkiest looks, while being a much-followed trendsetter; today, she's not any of those things.
While she did manage to strike the right chord with a few of her looks, her latest public appearance is reminding us of her previous fashion blunders.
The actress recently graced an event, in an outfit that was a quintessential example of fusion dressing gone wrong. The black-gold Payal Khandwala number had a variety of design elements that failed to blend with each other, and gave the outfit a rather convoluted look.
Though it wasn't what we'd call flattering, the black, corduroy poncho would've looked just fine, had it not been for the pair of Indo-Western pants she teamed it with.
The black, wide-leg pants boasted of an ugly, floral print in gold, and looked downright tacky. The print was huge and over-the-top, and the golden colour simply gaudy.
The combination of the unflattering poncho with the wide-legs pants was a poor decision, since the ensemble looked a bit too loose, and shabby.
Though her choice of footwear, a pair of black, peep-toe stilettos, was not too outstanding, it was actually her studded, golden bracelet that really pulled down the look.
